China Investing in 201 Folsom

The SF real estate market has always been a sought after locale for foreign investors but a recent joint venture between China Vanke Co., Ltd. (the largest residential property developer in the People’s Republic of China) and Tishman Speyer is noteworthy.  The two will collaborate on 201 Folsom Street which is across the street from the Infinity Towers.
The condominium dwelling is set to comprise two connected buildings that will consist of 37 and 42 stories for approximately 655 residences.   It’ll be interesting to see if they’ll resemble and embody the distinctive Infinity Towers.
Founded in 1984 China Vanke Co Ltd. has developed over 400,000 dwellings in China and
this will mark there first foreign investment.

Salesforce signs 14 year lease

The largest commercial lease in SF for 2012 has just been inked.  350 Mission is not even built yet but Salesforce has already agreed to occupy the entire 27th floor approximately 400,000 sq. ft.  situated across from the eventual Transbay Tower.   Construction is set to commence next year.

In March Salesforce nixed the proposed 2 million sq. ft campus in Mission Bay opting to consolidate there office locations to downtown (One Market St., One California St., 600 Townsend St., 123 Mission St., and 333 Main St.).
